Meet the Teachers

TERRI  FORTIN 

Director/Instructor

Terri has been operating her own school since 1981.  Before opening her own school, Terri taught at the Ashenden School of Dance, Drama & Music in Holbrook, MA.  She was solely responsible for the teaching and choreography of the Beginner I, II, Intermediate, and advanced classes.  During her high school and college years, Terri appeared in many musicals and variety shows.  She attended Marietta College as an early childhood development major and choreographed two musicals while there.  She has had much experience in all aspects of theater as well as stage production.  She is pleased and proud to beginning her 30th year at Terri’s School of Dance. 

KRISTIN LITCHFIELD 

Head Teacher

Kristin started dancing here at Terri’s at the age of two.  She also danced with the Boston Ballet School for nine years, performing annually in Boston Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker” at the Wang Center , dancing a variety of roles.  She attended Roger Williams University as a dance major.  She has performed as a featured dancer in the following musicals – “Fame”, “The Music Man”, “Anything Goes”, “Guys and Dolls”, “Godspell”, & “42nd Street”.  She has been teaching here at Terri’s on and off since 1996.  She and her husband Matt Litchfield (also a Terri’s alumni) reside in Whitman with their two children – Will and Aila. 

ELIZABETH DOUCET 

Director of The Cabaret Company of Terri’s School of Dance

Elizabeth earned a B.A. Degree in Dance from Dean College, where she received a four-year scholarship.  She was on the Dean’s List and a member of The National Honor Society, as well as a member of Phi Theta Kappa.  Elizabeth was trained in Modern, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Choreography, singing, and Acting.  While at Dean, she performed in numerous shows such as “Grease”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, and “Bringing Broadway to Dean College ” and studied and danced with many distinguished performers including Maurice Hines, AC Ciola, Derrick Grant and JT Jenkins.  After graduating, Elizabeth spent time in New York studying at the Alvin Ailey Dance Center .  Elizabeth has been teaching here at Terri’s since 2007.  She and her husband Kevin reside in Brockton..
